Overview

GENNET City Fertility specialises in the fields of Fertility Medicine, Assisted Reproduction and Management of Early Pregnancy. Being a part of the Patient Pledge, the clinic provides emotional support to patients throughout the journey. The clinic has been also a member of the Donor Conception Network (DCN) which offers support to patients who are going through fertility treatment with donor embryos.

Location

The clinic is about 45 minutes from Heathrow airport by car, an hour by public transport, walking distance from Barbican underground station, about 20 minutes by train from Marylebone station connecting the rest of the UK by Chiltern Railways. It is about 15 minutes by public transport from St Pancras International station connecting London to Europe by train lines including Eurostar. The clinic is well connected with suburbs of London, the rest of the UK and Europe with lots of hotels and restaurants nearby.

Climate

London mainly has warm summers and mild winters. The temperature in summer can go as high as 23.3°C (73.9°F) on an average at the peak of July and in winters the temperature can go as low as 2.2°C (36°F) on an average with February being the coldest month. Spring is mild and wet, whereas autumn is pleasant but can get breezy. There can be sudden changes in climate during the day or the week with drizzle and wet days to be expected throughout the year. Light snowflakes are common in winter months with moderate snowfall in some cold years. Frost is a common occurrence during winter nights and fog is seen regularly in the city.

Medical Director & PR to HFEA

Dr. Uppal has gained vast experience in the field of reproductive medicine during her training and work at several centres of excellence. She completed her postgraduate diploma in prenatal genetics and foetal medicine with distinction at the University College London. Her interest in PGD and PGS is well supported by her knowledge of prenatal genetics and foetal medicine. She is an associate member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the British Fertility Society. She is highly skilled in gynaecological ultrasound, three-dimensional scanning and early first-trimester ultrasound. She is FMF accredited for the first trimester and NT scanning. She provides a highly individualised approach.

Mr. Ramesan Navaratnarajah

Consultant

Mr. Navaratnarajah is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist whose reproductive medicine and surgical consulting work involves all aspects of assisted conception, early pregnancy care, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis and PCOS. He also performs advanced gynaecology scanning, including HyCoSy, uterine cavity imaging and gynaecological 3D ultrasound. He is the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists‘ tutor for postgraduate specialist training for Barts and the Royal London Hospitals.
