Climate
California has warm dry summers and mild wet winters. The average daily high temperatures on the coast, are around 70°F and up, but sometimes go up to 80°F or more on a hot day. It’s rare to experience freezing temperatures, even in winter. It can get foggy occasionally. When you go inland summers are hot and dry, winters are cool and wet and temperatures cold enough to freeze puddles on the ground. As you go higher up in terms of altitude, you will experience a four-season cycle, with beautiful summers, striking fall colors, and cold snowy winters followed by snowmelt springs.

Dr. Nurit Winkler
Dr. Nurit Winkler, one of the founders of LARC is a double board-certified doctor specializing in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Having completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Winkler’s research interest lies in the field of reproduction with a special focus on the process of aging of the ovary and the effect of fertility treatments on the ovarian function. Dr. Winkler has been trained in Europe and Israel and brings a unique perspective to fertility treatments. In addition to the US, Dr. Winkler is licensed to practice in three continents, with special expertise in IVF, surrogacy, and egg donation.
Dr. Marc Kalan
Marc Kalan, M.D., double board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California, where he also completed a four-year residency in OB/GYN, serving as Chief Resident in his senior year. Dr. Kalan specializes in the treatment of infertility through a variety of modalities, including stimulated, mini, and natural IVF, genetic screening (PGD and gender selection), and oocyte cryopreservation. Dr. Kalan is an accomplished micro-surgeon who is an expert in the art of tubal reanastomosis.
